OVERVIEW

The PMAPI-SC35 is a weather protected solar powered self-contained marine lantern with an LED light source that can be combined with optional GPS or IO port. It can be used as an independent operation for extensive time periods. The high intensity LEDs on a metal core PCB for maximum useful life, with flexible electronic configurations. You can use on/off shore platforms, port and harbor, aquaculture, fixed or floating structures. This marine lantern can also integrate a Satellite Module so customer can monitor the light on the Pharos Marine Automatic Power online portal.

PERFORMANCE FEATURES

•Intensity control: Effective lantern intensity set on Schmidt-Clausen method
•Flash character control: 256 programmable flash characters and 2 custom flash characters
•Day/Night transition level settings: Programmable for active at all times or only after sunset. Day / Night level settings (sunset / sunrise transition) can be field programmed
•Calendar control - Programmable season on/off date
•Input protection - Lantern power input from the battery is reversed polarity protected for field repair or light head replacement
•Ripple delay - 0.05 to 12.7 seconds & master/slave sync options•Storage mode - Automatic storage mode with adjustable automatic wake up

•Battery low voltage cutoff
•Battery voltage and internal temperature LED flashing reports, triggered by commands from the IR remote control (unit will flash 1 1 9 sequences for a 11.9 V battery for example)
•Battery voltage and internal temperature could be interrogated during day time, even when the lantern is off by the photocell control system.
•Dynamic compensation circuitry for the candela low output, based on on internal temperature, LED flash duration and LED color, to always keep the same programmed output intensity

RACONS are receiver/transmitter devices operating in the maritime radar frequency bands (9 and 3 Ghz) that enhance the detection and identification of certain radar targets.

The WM-RBII is a second generation racon, using all solid-state electronics designed to meet with the recommendation and guidelines from IALA/IMO.

The WM-RBII is a frequency-agile racon and hence responds on the frequency on which they are interrogated. Upon receiving a pulse signal from a ship-borne radar, the WM-RBII transmits back a Morse-coded signal whose frequency is identical with that of the ship-borne radar, and leaves a clear signal on the ship's radar display indicating its own position with precision.

WM-RBII's dual-token side lobe suppression feature ensures that the radar display is not distracted from multiple responses generated by side-lobes. WM-RBII's Proportional Scaling feature prevents the response from displaying too much on the radar screen on short-range scales and too small on long-range scales.

WM-RBII's intelligent control system is capable of self-test, self-calibration and power adjustment in reaction to different operating environmental conditions.

The WM-RBII is a compact, lightweight and low power racon primarily designed for:

    ranging and identification of locations on inconspicuous coastlines

    identification of aids to navigation, both seaborne and land based

    landfall identification

    indicating centre and turning point in precautionary areas

    marking hazards

    indicating navigable spans under bridges

    as a leading line

One of the many useful features of WM-RBII racon is the ability to program the various settings like the Response Code (Morse code), Service Period and Sensitivity, without the need to access the internal electronics. The external programming can be easily done using a desktop or laptop computer, via a RS232 serial interface.

The WM-RBII racon has a cylindrical cast base (aluminium alloy) with an all-round handle for easy handling. The racon base that housed the internal electronics is sealed to IP67. The antennas are protected by an UV-stabilised, specially toughened poly-resin/FRP compound cover.

Standard WM-RBII supply package include the racon unit, power and communication (RS232) cables fitted with waterproof connector, CDROM for programming software setup, stainless steel mounting hardware and operational manual. Other optional items are also available, based on user's requirements.

Tideland's 90Ex and 180Ex (90Wp and 180Wp Nominal Power) ATEX certified Solar PV Modules use high output 125 x 125 mono-crystalline cells laminated between two sheets of heat strengthened glass. 
The aluminum frame is hard anodized with a dichromate seal giving a film thickness of 30 – 60 microns. 
This has a high resistance to sea water making the modules ideally suited for offshore and areas with a salt laden atmosphere.Blocking diodes are incorporated into the module laminations.
 An IP66 glass fiber reinforced polyester junction box containing four terminals to accept 1.5 to 6mm conductors and two M20 cable entries is mounted on the rear of the module.
